Adult Learning in Cheshire

Our Adult Learning Centre at Waterside House, Navigation Road is open to adults over the age of 19 years. All courses are free to learners 19 and over, and in receipt of any of the following – Job Seekers Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance (Work-related Activity Group), Universal Credit, other means tested benefit. Reasonable co-funding can be arranged for learners who do not meet the above requirements.

Our aim is to make learning an enjoyable and rewarding experience and we invite you to join us in our welcoming, informal environment. The room is equipped with 9 PCs all with Internet access and use of the facility is free. You will find all members of our staff friendly and helpful! Some PCs have large screens and we have some with text reading software.

Adult Learning

In addition to IT training we are able to offer many other learning opportunities in CV writing and confidence building. So whether you are a complete beginner or need to brush up your existing skills come along and give it a go!

All our courses lead to a recognised qualification in functional skills – English, Maths and ICT – from Entry Level 3 to Level 2. We offer mainly a wide range of ICT (ECDL) units at both Level One and Two and these include Online Basics, Internet, Email, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentation. All our tests are on-line and on demand for the ECDL course.

All our training is individually tailored to meet YOUR needs, you can study on your own or at home and at your own pace or in a group, it’s up to you!

The course covers the creation, amendment, printing, and emailing of documents as attachments, suitable for job applications, CV creation and amendment, or as required by an office admin role. It also acts as preparation for progression on to an Information Technology Qualification (ITQ).
