Family Support Services in Cheshire
Family Support is an informal service funded by individual schools and Education Improvement Partnerships to support children/young people and their families in removing barriers and overcoming issues. We work with both primary and high schools. The service is currently delivered throughout the former Vale Royal area.
What’s On Offer?
We have a team of Family Support Workers working in schools to help improve attendance, behaviour and achievement.
We focus on early intervention, helping parents to develop the necessary coping skills and
helping them to access a broad range of services. If our staff can’t help, then they will put families in touch with somebody who can and arrange introductions if needed.
As funding has been available we have been able to offer parenting courses to groups of parents. Sometimes things just get too much and parents feel they can’t cope. Our courses aim to give some survival tips and coping skills.
