Board of trustees
Cheshire Community Development Trust is very lucky to have a dedicated board of volunteer trustees with a wide variety of experience and skills to support and oversee all that we do.
Pete Price – Volunteer Chair of Trustees
Pete is a director at local office supplies company Office Essentials and his personal strengths are implementing, reviewing and adapting procedures and IT infrastructure. He lives locally with his wife Liz and two grown up children. Pete has a strong belief in the local community and first became a volunteer trustee in 2010, he has a particular passion for Cheshire CDT’s community transport services. Pete is also chairman of the Winsford 1-5 Business Improvement District, has a season ticket at Anfield and spends his spare time training for long course triathlons.
Jim Sinar – Volunteer Trustee
After 27 years in construction management Jim wanted to put some of his time in retirement to good use. When Jim was invited to become a volunteer trustee of Cheshire CDT, he was already aware of the local services that Cheshire CDT provide in community transport, education and adult learning. He was thrilled to be accepted as a member and joined the board in 2015. As part of the board Jim helps to support the Chief Executive and management team carry out the valuable daily local services that they continue to provide in Cheshire.
Gaynor Sinar – Volunteer Trustee
Shortly after being elected as Cheshire West and Chester Councillor in 2010 Gaynor was approached to join the board of Cheshire CDT. As a trustee of the County High School Leftwich and the founder of the Northwich Independent Retailers Association, she hoped that her network of contacts could be useful to help the excellent work Cheshire CDT is involved in. Gaynor is the owner of an established business in Northwich and became Business Improvment District Chairman in 2014. As a local resident for over 47 years, it is important to Gaynor that the services that Cheshire CDT provide helping people make the most of their lives in the local area is optimised and improved.
Pam Baranowski-Johnson – Volunteer Trustee
Pam started work for Vale Royal Borough Council in 1974 as a clerical assistant. She then moved into the finance department in 1977 as a Rating Assistant, billing and collecting the rates from homes and businesses across the whole borough. Pam then moved on to be Senior Rating Assistant in 1988. Between 1993 and 2015 Pam managed different parts of the section including Council Tax, Recovery and Customer Services, holding the title of Revenues Manager for some of that time. Pam retired in 2015 after 41 years and then took on a voluntary role of Finance Manager at her local Golf Club. Pam got involved with Cheshire CDT because she believes that the organisation provides added value and makes a difference to the lives of people throughout Cheshire.
